Update: Anthony Edwards’ “Believe That Awards” was published on YouTube on October 16th, handing down the coveted “White Boy Of The Year” award to Justin Bieber. More interesting for our purposes, the adidas AE3 “Doomsday” won in the Sneaker of the Year category, allowing us to get a closer look at the Marvel-inspired pair.
Reflective metallic finishes on the siding pair with brushed metal textures down the midline to approximate the supervillain’s costume. Release info is still unannounced.

Original article published October 9th, 2026:
There’s a certain list this time of the year that kicks off an incredible discourse cycle, one that no one in the world of footwear can truly recuse themselves from. Yes, love it or hate it, we’re already bracing for the punch of Anthony Edwards’ Believe That awards, dissecting the snubs and rankings within the interminable categories for the “White Boy Of The Year” or “Stood On Bidness Award.”
We jest, of course. The now-annual ceremony has been red meat for social media users, putting Edwards’ trademark charisma in the foreground across a range of pop culture topics. Our eyes, understandably, were immediately drawn to the “Sneaker of the Year,” a wall-to-wall celebration of his signature line and some of the off-court side quests he’s ventured on this year (we’ve got some questions about potential conflicts of interest in the selection process, but we digress).
Included in the nominees is a heretofore unseen version: the adidas Anthony Edwards “Doctor Doom.” While a certain Swoosh product of the same name is also coming back to shelves, Ant’s is an officially sanctioned collaboration, no doubt aligned with the adidas Marvel capsule coming for Doomsday. Fitted with the supervillain’s grimace on the tongue, the shoe does well to faithfully adapt RDJ’s costuming, with heavy chrome hits down the midline, a verdant emerald side cage, and a finishing hit of bronze on the rear.
Sneaker News can confirm that an “Ant-Man” adidas Anthony Edwards 3 is also on the way, a natural way for the Three Stripes to take advantage of this license and Edwards’ longtime nickname. Further info on when that pair and this adidas AE3 “Doctor Doom” can be expected is currently unavailable, but check out the teaser shot included below.
