The Nike Mind 002 Flyknit Flirts With All Black

With the unveiling of the Nike 24.7 Boot, the Swoosh’s off-the-court recovery efforts have never been more in focus. The Nike Mind platform is firming up as a defining footwear narrative of 2026, yet there’s still close to a full quarter for the product family to make an impact, something that the Nike Mind 002 Flyknit is no doubt plotting with an upcoming “Black/Dark Smoke Grey” colorway.

While the Nike Mind 001 has become a real street presence in its own right, so often seen on the sidelines of pro action via the Swoosh’s sponsored athletes, there’s no question that the Nike Mind 002 Flyknit is the most style-forward pillar in the series. Launching the breathable spin-off with the help of Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment was a tacit acknowledgment that Beaverton felt the same way. If that premise holds, this near-“Triple Black” formula presents one of the most easily worn looks we’ve seen to date, only interrupting those jet-black notes with subtle dark grey on the midsoles and lace unit before even lighter greens peek through the slits in the upper.

Interestingly, the Nike Mind 002 Flyknit has surfaced at retailers with an October 14th release date; neither official images from Nike nor an announcement from the brand have come about despite that launch being so close at hand. Perhaps it’s an indication of a NBHD-only distribution for this pair. Regardless, a $145 retail price is confirmed for this colorway.
