When New Balance announced the 2000, the brand made clear that the model was intent on following an intentional color story, the inaugural blue colorway specifically having been inspired by old iMacs, Game Boys, and other see-through tech of the Y2K era. Without official confirmation, we’re getting a similar feel from this upcoming duo, the 2000 taking on a “Metallic Pack” consisting of two nostalgic makeups for Fall/Winter 2026.
The first is bound to strike a familiar chord for ’90s kids, evoking the unmistakable teal graphic that was once a staple on office water cups far and wide. The other is the fire to its counterpart’s ice, taking up a “Neo Flame” look made up of reds, oranges, and yellows. Both share the same general foundation and color blocking, arriving with black mesh uppers so as to let the respective accent colors take center stage.
The New Balance 2000 “Metallic Pack” releases Fall/Winter 2026 via New Balance and select retailers, priced at $170 per pair. Check out official images below if you’re considering copping.
Sticking with the Boston brand, the New Balance 990v7 should be getting a proper unveiling any day now.
