The New York Knicks’ title defense ran into a Liberty Bell-sized stumbling block on opening night, and if the 76ers’ own home opener comeback is anything to show for it, there’s a decent chance they’ll encounter LeBron James and co. once again in that effort. However, even if Game 1 was an L, trust that the city is still very much in the afterglow of this June’s exaltation, as Gotham residents showed out again for the Jalen Brunson Kobe 3 “Arancia” minted in the Captain’s honor. If you’ve still got space in the closet for more NYK memorabilia, or, like us, are copping even in the absence of it, Jordan Brand just delivered an Air Jordan 1 Mid “Knicks” that might just be your speed.
The Air Jordan 1 High has certainly tested out some zany colorway options in recent years, but its Mid counterpart has been even more boundary-pushing in terms of color blocking. At the very least, the split arrangement utilized here has some notable precedent; it calls to mind “Top 3” or “Fearless” colorways of old.
The real innovation is the inclusion of the AJ8’s chenille tongue, almost assuredly making these a runoff of the Air Jordan 8 “Knicks” proper. Within those bounds, proud orange on the heel panels and Swoosh meet royal blue anchoring down the eyestay and toe. All of that gets wrapped in a stealthy package via the black nubuck included a layer below.
Catch official images of the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Knicks” via the gallery below. These should be hitting shelves for Holiday 2026, retailing at $150. Keep our Jordan Release Dates page close by for more updates on what the brand has in store for the rest of the year.
