We can debate all day about adidas’ most valuable collaborator; is it Grace Wales Bonner? Bad Bunny? Even if they’re longer-tenured than the musician and designer, maybe the crown still goes to BAPE, tapped for reinventions of silhouettes both new and well-established. Edison Chen would absolutely qualify for that conversation, but what’s beyond debate is the high-volume approach that the Hong Kong multi-hyphenate has leaned into since linking with the Three Stripes in the first place. Before the year is even out, Shanghai Fashion Week is providing a peek into what adidas x CLOT has in store for 2027 with first looks at the adidas Resonova.

Both from the title and from the shoe’s makeup, we can sense a connection to the adidas Supernova, a comfort-focused daily training series that’s been a staple of the catalog for a few years now. Of course, the standout detail in these preview shots is a translucent window running from quarter to quarter, bracketed by a smattering of thinned-out synthetic panels as you work towards the lace unit and the midsole. While this may be the most groundbreaking of the new adidas silhouettes introduced and/or designed by Mr. Chen, it certainly won’t be the first; the Qi Flow, which dropped towards the top of 2026, was the last ground-up design put forth in this partnership.

Again, we don’t have firm release info on the CLOT x adidas Resonova at the time of this writing, but you can expect this silhouette to debut sometime in the Spring/Summer 2027 window. Check out the on-site imagery included below.
