Converse Made Chuck Taylors For The Service Industry

Yes, chef.

Converse Made Chuck Taylors For The Service Industry

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star has been just about everywhere over its century-plus existence, finding an unexpected home in restaurant kitchens. While the Chuck has long been a favorite among service industry workers, it wasn’t necessarily built to withstand the demands of an eight-hour shift — until now.

Converse’s new “At Your Service” collection takes the timeless Chuck Taylor silhouette and outfits it with a series of workplace-ready upgrades, specifically targeting those working in restaurants, hospitality, and other fast-paced service environments. The familiar canvas and leather uppers remain, but the construction underneath has been reengineered with comfort, durability, and safety in mind.

Underneath is a slip-resistant diamond-pattern outsole designed to provide traction on potentially slippery surfaces. CX cushioning adds an extra layer of comfort for workers who spend long hours standing or moving, while the canvas versions feature breathable, water- and oil-repellent treatments. Leather options offer an easy-to-clean alternative, particularly useful for those working behind the scenes in kitchens and other demanding environments.

The collection also meets or exceeds ASTM SRO and ISO occupational footwear standards for slip resistance and workplace performance, meaning they’re purpose-built work shoes that look just like one of the most iconic sneakers ever created.

The Converse At Your Service collection is available beginning November 1st through Converse.com and select retailers.
