Shocking as it still is to see him in a new uniform, Ja Morant is becoming part of the fabric in Portland, an integral part of a hot start for the Pacific Northwest franchise. In a theme repeated across the league, sadly, the injury bug has hit #1, but ideally he’ll be back to game action in about a month’s time. Even while its namesake is on the reserve list, the Nike Ja 4 still has space to add to its celebrated rollout, and the Nike Ja 4 “Unseen” provides the next opportunity.
Though the Ja 4 has been met with such warm reception for its futuristic, edgy overall composition, this “Unseen” colorway takes a more simplistic approach. Exteriors coated in highlighter “Volt” meet the ground in jet black before that nocturnal trim continues through the “JA-Plate,” collar, and lace unit. Pale blue branding on the tongue closes out with some subtle off-color detailing.
To spend a brief moment on the title, this portends another “Unseen Hours” collection out of Nike Basketball, a series that kicked off by uniting the GT Future, Ja 3, and GT Cut 1 in what seemed like a regional celebration of East Coast cities. Though that local focus has been revisited with a “Cherry Blossom” DMV effort, it seems that the initiative has become an opportunity to unite inline Swoosh product without having to be geographically tied; there’s no such branding or spell-outs featured on this colorway.
The Nike Ja 4 “Unseen” is expected as part of another Nike Basketball “Unseen Hours” pack, releasing on November 13th. This pair in particular clocks in at $130. Catch official images included below and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page for more info as it comes.
