The man who famously ripped off the Air Force 1 in the early 2000s has shockingly become the model’s most prominent collaborator. The resurrected ‘01 cut is the subject of a multi-pair collab series by Nigo of Bape Sta fame, looping in faces and names from his inner circle and various creative endeavors along the way. Following link-ups with Jun Takahashi and BTS rapper j-hope comes a project with Nigo’s Human Made brand, at which he still serves as founder and creative director.
Sneaker Market Romania and sneaker leaker @brandon1an come in with the report, doing so with a mockup showing what the collaboration will supposedly look like. No style code, retail price, or official colorway specs have been made public yet, though the mockups above and below show another patent leather look in line with the dominant Air Force 1 aesthetic of the 2000s (and we can thank Nigo and the Bape Sta for that). The toe box appears in brown, the eyestay and heel in green, and the toe panel in yellow. Human Made’s red heart logo is stitched onto the lateral side, while a darker brown shade lands on the Swoosh and the piping seen across all the panel edges. Down below we have a white midsole and baby blue outsole.
The Human Made x Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘01 drops Spring/Summer 2027 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. We’ll circle back with an update as soon as first look images hit the ‘net.
