Aries And New Balance Debut “Unbalanced III,” The Brands’ Third Collaborative Capsule

Aries, as seen from 2019 onward, often takes a lifestyle approach with their collaborative offerings, highlighting silhouettes like the New Balance 327 as well as the 991. But for their latest sneaker with the Boston-based footwear brand, the streetwear label has chosen the 1080v11, a premier marathon runner.

Entitled “Unbalanced III,” the collection marks the two’s third collaboration. Alongside the above-mentioned sneaker, the capsule will include a series of complimentary apparel, including but not limited to a hoodie and matching track pant, Sherpa Anorak, and Fuel Vest.

As for the footwear itself, the 1080v11 commits to an asymmetric style. The upper itself, for starters, features an alternating pattern, whose red and black palette are reversed on the opposite foot. Elsewhere, the branding along the lateral/medial and the lace unit are similar mismatched, shifting focus from NB to Aries depending on the side. The volt laces and gradient-dressed sole unit, in contrast, are constant, establishing a sense of cohesion between the left and right pairs.
