Michael Le Following the return of the Wave Runner earlier this year, the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 is adding brand new make-ups to the catalog. And unlike 2021’s offerings — such as the “Faded Azure” and “Wash Orange” — this pair takes a more aggressive approach, opting for a “Hi-Res Red” colorway.
Not all is entirely unfamiliar. The hits of light and dark grey along the toe and the orange and blue across the midsole, for example, ostensibly reference prior appearances. This is true of the black suede across the profile, too, as it effectively mimics the above-mentioned Wave Runner. Elsewhere, the design begins to differentiate itself: vibrant reds dress the leather and mesh across the collar and mid-panel; a darker, burgundy-like shade colors the laces and center forefoot; and a clay coats most of the midsole.
