Although anticipation surrounding the Nike Air Max 97‘s 25th anniversary has died down a bit after the re-release of the “Silver Bullets”, Christian Tresser’s iconic design continues to form an important part of the Swoosh’s roster of products.
Recently, the mountain bike-inspired creation emerged in a medley of disparate colors atop the silhouette’s Terrascape-variant. Rooted in trail shoe-heritage and aspirations for sustainability, the latest Air Max Terrascape 97 mixes function and fashion well, covering its modified upper in shades of maroon, yellow, and blue. Visible Air Max units sit just underneath a midsole component constructed from recycled materials, a move that doesn’t compromise on the 97’s tried-and-proven feel. All aforementioned components further not only the sneaker’s already-expansive catalog of ensembles, but also the Swoosh’s mission to become carbon neutral and more sustainable over the next few years.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.
