Michael Le New Balance has spent the better part of January expanding on the 550‘s catalog. More styles are continuing to surface by the day, such as this newly-revealed, women’s exclusive “Blue Haze” colorway.
Likely somewhat inspired by the UNC Tar Heels, the New Balance 550 “Blue Haze” brings the basketball oxford a bit closer to its roots. The light blue takes the helm at various points, highlighting fixtures such as the “N” logo, outsole, and branding. Underneath, the base of the shoe is clad entirely in neutrals, with white painting the leather paneling, mesh inserts, tongue, midsole, and the like.
