Nike Air Max fandom has been high overseas since the late 1980s. In London, the Air Max 95 – or “110” as it’s been historically referred to due to its original price – reigns supreme. As such, it makes the perfect canvas for CORTEIZ and the Swoosh’s first sneaker collaboration.
The impending project suggests all bad blood is behind the two institutions; the Swoosh sued the brand for its name’s similarity to “Cortez” in 2021. CORTEIZ’s founder, Clint (@clint419 on Instagram), officially unveiled his joint-effort with Nike yesterday.
Editing an ever-memeable clip of Bella Hadid on Complex’s “Sneaker Shopping,” the CRTZ.RTW frontman shared a sideview of the shoe along with pricing details. The shoe features shades of green and black throughout its leather and fishnet upper. CORTEIZ logos are stamped onto the toe and around the heel while a camouflage print lands on the inner lining. The “LUNDUN”-based imprint’s Alcatraz logo replaces Air Max branding on the top of the tongue, but it nods to the original “110” with its neon yellow finish; the visible Air bubbles underfoot follow suit.
No firm release date has been confirmed by either party, but the Air Max 95 is set to launch in March for £169 (approx. $209 USD). Enjoy a closer look at the pair ahead as you wait for Nike SNKRS and crtz.xyz release details.
