Inexplicably linked to rapper and chef Action Bronson with his collaborative debut via the AEW ring and consecutive Instagram posts, the New Balance 990v6 has slowly been delving out its introductory slate of general release colorways. While a clad grey pair kicked things off last November, the 990v6 now readies an opposing jet-black effort as just the second proposition established thus far.
As is typical with a dominant majority of the Boston brand’s reinvigorated lifestyle options, a soft supple suede stretches atop the model’s staple mesh base layer. Casting both in a dark black compliment, the connective panels across the forefoot further instill the pitch-dark association while the heel’s embellishments mirror the latter accents with a silver metallic finish connecting to its matching “N” logo. Dressing the laces and sock liner in a medium grey tone, the tongue construction instead indulges in a dark steel hue while a wash of white brightens the monochrome aesthetic along the front half of the sole unit underfoot.
Enjoy official images of the New Balance 990v6 “Black/Grey” below and expect a release on April 7th, 2023.
In the collaborative space, first looks at the Crenshaw Skate Club x Nike SB Dunk Low recently surfaced.
