Amidst the transition from summer to fall, weather-resistant Gore-Tex toolings have begun popping up at an increased frequency throughout the sneaker ecosystem. For its latest winter-friendly application, the New Balance 610 partners its heavily layered aesthetic with a tonal collection of neutral-tinted waterproof panels.
From the hexagonal mesh base layer to the various stitched leather overlays, nearly the entirety of the fashion-forward upper real estate is coated in clad shades of “Raw Cashew”. Save the seldom hits of jet-black that clarify the lace lock, the uniform treatment above is amplified through the appearance of a “Pistachio Butter” midsole and a complimentary “Turtledove” tread underfoot. What’s more, the latter faint green shade enacts a flurry of accents by endearing itself to both of the upper pulls tabs, the 610 logo and the insoles.
The New Balance 610 Gore-Tex “Raw Cashew” is scheduled to release on September 22nd for a retail price of $170. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery below.
