Rick Owens Brings “Cave” Tan To The Converse DRKSHDW TURBOWPN

Converse and DRKSHDW write the next chapter of their ongoing partnership with another avant-garde take on the Converse Weapon, revisiting the TURBOWPN with new treatments by Rick Owens. While most of the duo’s work has centered around new Chuck 70 designs, putting an end to the “Discount Rick” allegations that were jokingly coined upon seeing black Chucks, this delivery hones in on a different era of retro basketball as part of a larger Converse Weapon revival.

This “Cave” colorway does without the familiar Rick Owens hallmarks of its black/cream counterpart, instead drawing its primary appeal from oversized tweaks to the Weapon. An oversized sole and tongue complete that mission, while the upper remains generally untouched aside from a DRKSHDW logo cutout on the lateral side.

Pairs are available now on Nike SNKRS and converse.com for $200 a pop, hardly a cost-friendly MSRP but a significant drop from footwear offerings on Rick Owens’ site. Use the images and shopping links below to guide your purchase.
