When word first broke on the Jordan Brand Tokyo23 initiative including the newly launched website and Air Jordan V Retro T23, the general consensus was that Tokyo23 would represent a JB retail space in Japan’s capital. Perhaps now we have confirmation of a slight change in this expectation, as what’s going on there appears to be something closer to Jordan Brand’s annual Quai54 streetball tournament in Paris. And having just seen a Quai54-edition AJ5, it seems logical that the T23 version would be released for a similar occasion. Further adding to the intrigue is this sample pair as pictured with a 2011 NBA All-Star insole, a detail we’re fairly certain will change for the final release model.
