When the Air Jordan 6 was celebrating its Jordan birthday (that’s a 23 year anniversary for those uninformed) the fact that the 1991 lifestyle classic Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” was left off of the release slate was a little puzzling. It was the perfect time to bring the oft-forgotten colorway back given the look hadn’t been released at retailers since the original run. Now we know why Jordan Brand didn’t release the pair then – they were readying a classic ‘Nike Air’ heel branding complete with the traditional translucent outsole. Today we get word on a confirmed release date: December 5th, 2015 with a retail price of $220. Is the extra $30 worth it for that OG Nike Air branding on the heel in order to capture that fully remastered form? Let us know what you think in the comments section.
