Nike Just Released The Air Max 97 Plus Out Of Nowhere

Updated October 2nd, 2017: The Nike Air Max Plus 97 will release on October 13th.

Back in 2008 Nike released a rather pleasing hybrid Air Max model, pairing the Air Max Plus upper with the full-length Air unit of the 97. While that hybrid Air Max 97 Plus didn’t quite send massive shockwaves through the world of sneakers, it taught us that sole-swaps were just fine – as long as the right selections were made. Nearly a decade after its debut, the Air Max 97 Plus just made a surprise comeback as this clean black/white pair just surfaced at Supply Store in Australia. What would really be interesting if Nike did the reverse – release the Air Max 97 upper with the Tuned Air. Of course, Nike an RevolutionAir Sean Wotherspoon are releasing an Air Max 97 with an Air Max 1 sole on Air Max Day 2018.
