Elliot Santiago size? and adidas are continuing their collaborative projects this season with their newly announced “Alternate Pack” aimed to shine a light on global marathons known for their unique landscape. The three-part collection will included three adidas silhouettes pulled from the 70s, 80s, and 90s eras, and first up on their release calendar is this upcoming iteration of the ZX 500. Traveling all the way to the dunes of the Jordanian desert, the UK-based retailers and the Three Stripes look to highlight the Wadi Rum Marathon – a five day ultra-marathon that traverses through the city of Petra and guides runners through tombs mountainside carvings and caves. Channeling every element of the desert race, these ZX 500s are dominated with two shades of sandy beiges that alternate between their leather and suede constructions, and accented with active orange stripe branding soft yellow sidewalls. Further details arrive via illustrations of a Jordan cave building laid upon the insoles, in addition to “80s” text stamped on the heel tabs as a nod to its birth era.
