Ronnie Fieg’s spirited run with ASICS dates back to 2007 when he first colored up a trio of GEL-Lyte 3s dubbed the “252 Pack”, bringing a Japanese-exclusive flavor stateside. That story comes full circle as this ceremonious collaboration coincides with the recent opening of KITH Tokyo, Ronnie’s first retail store in foreign land. The first “252.1” colorway is modernized, much-needed toned down version of the original as he utilizes a subdued blend of black nubuck, pigskin red at the toe, and hits of gold on the strike logo. Joining the Tokyo Trio is a cherry blossom-inspired “Yoshino Rose” that features a sporty mesh and leather toe and pigskin overlay, and a “Super Gold”, a nod to the now-cancelled Tokyo Olympics. All three pairs will release on Monday, July 27th exclusively at KITH.com and at KITH Tokyo, Hirshlifers, Bergdorf Goodman, and Selfridges. Each pair is tagged with a $180 MSRP.
