Elliot Santiago In 2020, we’ve seen the Jumpman family find opportunities to conjure Asian influences and incorporate them into their Jordan retro releases. For example, we’ve seen the Air Jordan 3 outfitted with denim overlays which nodded to popular Japanese-made jeans, as well as the upcoming Air Jordan 7 “Greater China” colorway that’s features Far East-inspired graphics that lie on its medial sides. And now tomorrow, that approach is being delivered on the Air Jordan 1 “Bio Hack” — an installment who’s multi-colored panels are meant to visually articulate that of Tokyo, Japan’s fast-paced lifestyle, and vibrant nightlife.
