Michael Le Undoubtedly among the best collaborators in the past few years, Cactus Plant Flea Market continues to express their inimitable, DIY style atop yet another icon: the Dunk Low. Relative to the Air Force 1 before it, the Dunk arrives more attuned to the label’s ideas, its upper drawing on the signature themes of Air and Sunshine far less literally as it uses the glimmer of many a Swarovski crystal.
And while it loosely borrows the technique of past Swarovski releases, the pair does with it something unique to the CPFM ethos. Each jewel is intentionally placed in a haphazard manner, forgoing any sort of refinement as it crosses the toe cap to the counter and everything in between. Underneath, the construction is subtle so as to not distract, the white leather panels only tweaked in shape at the oversized Swoosh. Elsewhere, thickened tongues bear the comfort of additional padding while detachable double lace flaps outfit adjacent.
Alongside the playful, smiley-adorned dust bag and accessory, the capsule will bring with it a Swarovski-dressed hoodie. “just do it” will arrive printed atop the chest, marked within its lettering with the same crystals found on the Dunk Low.
