Skepta
Skepta is a UK rapper and multi-hyphenate, currently signed to PUMA as a Global Ambassador. Before inking that deal in 2022, the phrase “Skepta shoes” was synonymous with an extensive history of Air Max collaborations with Nike. Over the course of four years, his work spanned the Nike Air Max Classic BW, 97, 97/BW hybrid, Deluxe and two pairs of Tailwind Vs. Each of the aforementioned collaborations were inspired by and leaned into the product line’s UK ubiquity, often paired with trademark tracksuit streetwear.
Though Skepta made a few brief appearances in the capacity of PUMA ambassador in 2022 and 2023, 2024 was a milestone in the partnership when Skepta’s signature shoe finally debuted. The PUMA Skope Forever sports a chunky layout with wavy, abstract linework on the upper, often carrying reflective / mirrored accents on the colorways we’ve seen so far. The model saw its inaugural global release in May 2024 – additional colorways have emerged on a steady stream since.
