It’s been a fruitful winter/holiday season for Jordan Brand, but also a tad confusing. With all the controversy surrounding the Air Jordan XII Retro ‘Rising Sun’, its insoles and the fight for branding in Orlando, we’ve been subject to a merry go round of release date changes.
Initially, the ‘Space Jam’ Air Jordan XI Retro was set to drop on Black Friday, but JB thought better of that and decided not to compete with 47 cent toasters and pushed them back to a Christmas Eve release. While that might be a cool idea, to have kicks drop on a (kinda) holiday, it might also prevent some from copping them because of family obligations or limited retail hours. That’s why the official release date is now locked in as December 23rd, so get your warmest line-standing gear in order.
