During the first 82 games, the Boston Celtics – a team one season removed from a title – was losing steam and finished the second half as an average, win one-lose one team. The Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers were considered the favorites to emerge from the East but shades of ’08 as well as MVP-caliber play from Rajon Rondo boosted the Boston Celtics past those teams and into the NBA Finals.
