In April Sneaker News gave you a preview at an upcoming collaboration between the Asics Gel Lyte III and Aussie-based iconic footwear publication Sneaker Freaker. Here’s a detailed look at their upcoming production, titled ‘Alvin Purple’; right off the bat you can see that Sneaker Freaker’s choice of colors is perfect as is the color-blocking. The shoe was first featured on a special-edition 3D cover of Sneaker Freaker issue 18 and throws hints at the classic 70’s film about a man named Alvin Purple who women found irresistible.
