The Black/Metallic Silver colorway is easily the representative of the Air Jordan V. Michael wore this colorway for most of the season as well as during the 1990 NBA Playoffs, which some argue that the ’90 postseason should’ve been Michael’s first and seventh overall NBA Championship. The world witness a calm Michael Jordan when he gave a quick post-game on-court interview after the Game 7 loss, citing a need to address certain weaknesses on the Bulls performance. A few tweaks were obviously made, because Michael and the Bulls went on to win three straight championships and six total in the eight-year span that followed the 1990 loss to the Detroit Pistons. Black and Metallic Silver Air Jordan Vs have returned to us a number of times; there was the 2000 Retro, which featured the Nike Air logo on the heel, the 2007 Retro, which introduced the ’23’ stitching on the side as well as the Jumpman insignia on the heel, the lux leather ‘Premio’ version, the fifth of the Bin 23 Collection, and the upcoming August release. Here’s a look at an OG pair of the Air Jordan V in Black/Metallic Silver; this new design was a crowd-pleaser thanks to the new translucent netting, super-wide 3M-reflective tongue, and ‘sharks teeth’ midsole design. Check out the images after the jump and take a look at the auction on pkiss37 on eBay.
