Asics Gel Saga – Black – White – Infrared

The Asics Gel Saga enjoyed a particularly strong second half of 2011 thanks to bookending the final four months with OG colorways followed by two high profile collaborative efforts.  Moving into the new year, this is one of those classics that’s poised to once again make its mark on the sneaker scene, and with colorways like this bold ‘Infrared’ edition, there’s no doubting this model’s status as a serious contender for sleeper hit of 2012.  The combination of suede and mesh on these is an instant throwback to the days before synthetics took over the running circuit, and with a colorway that will remind most of a certain 1990-born monster hit, they further the golden era vibe to help take some of the strain off of the workhorse Gel-Lyte III’s back.  Click through for some preview images from the recently wrapped Agenda tradeshow and stick with Sneaker News for the US release date.  via F5
