Monta Ellis first grabbed our attention when he was spotted wearing the Air Jordan 8.0 during NBA Media Day last December. Formerly an athlete-representative of the brand AND1 (which has since deployed all of its NBA athletes to other brands), Monta’s apparent footwear freedom was something to keep an eye on, and it certainly paid off when he was spotted wearing the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’ during a few games earlier this season. Over the weekend, he solidified his status as a sneaker free agent when he was seen wearing the Air Jordan XI ‘Space Jam’. Every time the XI makes an appearance on an NBA court, it certainly captures our attention, but this occurrence has us wondering if Monta has plans to repeat Gilbert Arenas’ dazzling display of sneakers from last season.
