Jordan Brand relives Michael’s first retirement by bringing back the Air Jordan IX – Michael’s first ‘retirement’ sneaker- inspired by ‘Johnny Kilroy’, the fictional identity that Michael assumed in order to return to basketball as quietly as possible. We’re already familiar with the Silver/Black/Red colorway of the sneaker, but these new photos reveal two amusing details – Kilroy’s #4 jersey stitched on the heel an the ‘Kilroy Kicks Butt’ embroidered on the inner face of the tongue.
