Cambridge, MA’s Concepts is in an elite class when it comes to executing top-notch collabo themes, but the latest release sorta fell in their lap. Actually, it’s more accurate to say that CNCPTS is the benefactor of a coincidence that facilitates a couple of looks New Bal fans would lust after regardless of the tie-ins. No matter the source, it is indeed dope that someone managed to figure out that hometown Harvard’s annual tilt against bitter rivals Yale would fit the school’s iconic varsity letters around a pack name that reflects the site of ‘The Game’ 2012. The Concepts x New Balance 574 “Home vs. awaY” pack could have come from MIT with pattern recognition that astute, and you can’t forget the fact that even if they had’nt been made in 55 (make that 56) and 65 pairs, respectively, these premium suede and mesh classics have the kind of no-nonsense appeal that’ll have the entire stock matriculating out of Concepts rather expeditiously.
