The unveiling of the 2012 Nike x Doerbecher Freestyle IX was one of the biggest events of the year, with droves of eager fans flocking to our in-depth overview of the entire collection. This design was led by 10-year-old Finnigan Mooney, who chose an image of a human heart on the upper. Why? Because he’s beast-moded through thirteen heart surgeries, and the word ‘THUMP THUMP’ suggests that he and his beating heart are ready to take on whatever comes his way.
