With the great success of Asics’ classic running collaborations in recent years, it’s only natural to see Onitsuka Tiger reach further back into its vaults for some vintage teamups. First they teamed with Scotland’s Hanon and there’s one on the way from Russia’s FOTT, and now comes one from a southern California shop in conjunction with a Colorado-based clothing concern. This Onitsuka Tiger Colorado 85 ‘6200 FT’ was created by BAIT with the help of Akomplice Clothing, its name and look drawing on Akomplice’s hometown of Carbondale, CO. Each of the 504 pairs’ ‘lift ticket’ hangtag is individually numbered, and they’ll be up for grabs on the BAIT store’s one year anniversary, October 19th. BAIT is offering reservation tickets from 10/14 through the 17th and those looking to buy from the e-store can get an email invite by signing up online.
