The model in general remains a NB cornerstone, but the ‘Made in USA’ version of the New Balance 574, aside from the recurring Custom US574 program, has been few and far between of late. There was the limited Dave Niehaus tribute last fall and another baseball-themed pair for Detroit’s All Star game, but before that, you have to reach all the way back to 2012’s Ball and Buck collabos for another example. So the full return of the US574 is long overdue and the good folks at the Norridgewock, Maine factory came through big time with a couple of very pleasing colorways that toe the line between traditional blue and grey suede and mesh, and today’s eye for color. They also added speckling along the ENCAP midsole wedge for an extra pop, so click in to see more and be ready when they arrive in April at shops like Hanon.
