You’ve heard about the freshly hired adidas talent on the design side of things, you’ve heard about the celebrity partners that they’ve brought in, but let’s not forget about the core of athletes that they’ve got on all fields of play serving as the brand ambassadors for their product on a global scale. That core is deep when it comes to the basketball court – Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard, Dwight Howard, and John Wall are all part of the Three Stripes team. This time around we’re zooming on Wall and on his brand new adidas J Wall 1 signature sneaker. The pair could be spotted this summer as part of his Team USA time, but as of now they’ve been officially unveiled and we’ve got an exclusive set of images on them for you.
What’s interesting is that John Wall has actually been down the signature sneaker road before. Fans of the former Kentucky Wildcat will remember that he started out in the league as a Reebok athlete, complete with Reebok sneakers crafted specifically for him. As you know, Reebok has since backed away from their performance basketball efforts, a move that ending up shuffling John Wall over to the adidas side of things. From there, he held down the Crazquick line for a couple of years before graduating to this, the brand new adidas J Wall 1. Continue reading for detailed imagery of the upcoming adidas J Wall 1 as part of our ongoing Monday Night Preview series and watch for an interview with adidas Basketball designer Robbie Fuller on this very silhouette come tomorrow.
The adidas J Wall 1 will release on October 31st, 2014, for $115 in the “Wizards Home” and black/grey colorways.
