Sneaker customizers have made a nice living by customizing on-field cleats for some NFL athletes, but apparently Nike is not having it at all. The brand has sent out letters and photos of “non-compliant footwear” to its athletes informing them that wearing custom sneakers, particularly those shrouding the logos, on-field are a violation of the endorsement contract, which would lead to immediate termination of said contract. Is Nike hating on customs? Not at all; they’re merely ensuring that all of their logos are displayed in plain sight in order to maximize their give year, 1.1 billion dollar contract they signed with the NFL. Check out photos of the letters sent by Nike to the athletes below and let us know what you think. Thanks to Marcus aka solesbysir for sending in the photos!
