With the Nike Air Max 93 making its mark in 2014, it vocalized a number of truths about current sneaker climate. For starters, Air Maxes not named 1, 90, or 95 actually have mass appeal, and can assist in defining a calendar year in footwear. Secondarily, the community is open to retros of a lesser kind – styles that weren’t decidedly popular during their initial run but still evoke emotion whether it be sentimental or otherwise. Enter the Nike Air Max 94 – a shoe certainly not as revered as the aforementioned Maxes, but one you should know all the same.
