It took a while for adidas to truly capture our attention with authentic innovations and footwear designs, but 2014 was a pivotal year for the three-stripes brand and how we perceive their products. The new Tubular aesthetic was a big hit with the fitted upper and boastful midsole, and Primeknit, despite allegations of being a rip-off of Nike’s Flyknit, is only just starting to get the push it needs. adidas shrewdly combines the two with the adidas Tubular Primeknit; the ridged midsole can be rightfully compared to the Yeezy Boost and the Primeknit upper is certainly borrowed from the Y-3 aesthetic, but at a lower pricepoint and more colors, the Tubular Primeknit will be a massive hit. The understated detail is the leather panel design borrowed from the Forum, so there’s definitely a bit of the Originals there. What are your thoughts on the shoe? Get another look at the black/white pair below and let us know what your honest thoughts are for the upcoming Tubular Primeknit.
