2010’s World Basketball Festival was a glorious display that had Nike flexing its muscles all in the name of furthering basketball as a global sport. One of the lasting pieces of memorabilia was Jay Z‘s teaming up with the Nike Air Force 1 Low. Five pairs featuring the all-black-everything aesthetic with exclusive ‘Nike Hov’ tongue branding were auctioned off with 100% of the profits going to charity. Here we see an early sample of the France pair complete with the country’s namesake on the heel up for auction. Interestingly enough, the insole has the Puerto Rican flag highlighted in color instead of the French flag adding to the strange allure.
