Michigan-based Premier continues its impressive string of head-turning sneaker design concepts with one of the most seldom used silhouettes in collaborations – the iconic New Balance 998. Inspired by the early-20th Century automobile industry that was bustling in their home state, Premier designed this Made In USA offering with some top-shelf details drawn directly from luxurious cars from that early period. A simple yet high-class approach with a black and tan suede upper mimicking the gold grille and black chassis is matched with poignant details such as the custom insoles featuring quilted leather upholstery and a hang-tag that features a “PRMR” license plate and a key. An official release is set for Saturday, August 22nd with an MSRP of $219.95, while other select New Balance retailer will release them on September 5th. Get a first look here and let us know where Premier’s latest offering ranks among this year’s best collabs.
