Kanye West Last-Minute Yeezy Season 2 Show Is Angering Other Designers at NYFW

Yeezy Season 2 Nyfw 2015

Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 2 collection with adidas is a last-minute inclusion in the already stacked line-up for New York Fashion Week. There’s no question that Kanye’s new line of clothing is a welcome addition, but the nature of the announcement has been pissing off some designers that feel like they’re being trampled on by the celebrated rapper-turned designer. Anne Bowen and Naeem Khan are two designers that will be overshadowed by the showing of Yeezy Season 2, with the former expressing a level of disappointment and disgust at the fact that the CFDA allowed the show to be scheduled in the first place. Steven Kolb, president of the CFDA denies that Yeezy Season 2 is even confirmed for showing. Nevertheless, Anne Bowen is working on rescheduling her show for the following day, which not only is a nightmare to coordinate on such short notice, but is really expensive. With that said, we’ll be keeping our eyes on the Yeezy Season 2 show because it might feature some new Yeezy Boost 350 and Yeezy Boost 750 releases like the one Kanye wore over the weekend. The show is tentatively set for Wednesday, September 16th at the Skylight Modern at 537 West 27th Street.
