Renowned Spanish sneaker shop 24 Kilates is set to celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2016, and they start it off in appropriate fashion: with a sneaker collab. It’s ASICS they pair up with to present this special edition of the GEL-Respector. Dubbed “Virgin Extra” the colorway draws inspiration from one of Spain’s top exports, extra virgin olive oil. The shoe built in premium leather features a various shades of green, tan, and purple to represent the colors of raw Arbequina olives before they are cold pressed into olive oil. Special packaging including an olive leaf hang tag and bottle of premium extra virgin olive oil held within a burlap sack will release on January 9th exclusively in-store at 24 Kilates in Barcelona and their new Bangkok, Thailand location. The shoe will also release at select ASICS Tiger retailers globally the following week.
