Pigeons are just rats with wings in New York City, but the name is synonymous with one of the most legendary collaborative sneaker releases in history. It’s been over a decade since Jeff Staple’s Nike SB Dunk caused a riot and landed sneaker fandom on the front page of the New York Post, leading to an increase in sneaker fandom the world over. Since then, Staple has taken to NIKEiD to bless silhouettes like the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse with that signature grey and orange look and today we get a look at their latest creation – the Nike Air Max Zero.

It’s worth noting that you can create your own Air Max Zero Pigeon on NIKEiD as showcased through photos below. This limited run was created in partnership with the Philippines own Sneakpeek for an exclusive in-store release. Once just a sample in Tinker Hatfield’s incredible catalog, the Nike Air Max Zero returned a few years back to help celebrate Air Max Day with an updated fuse and mesh upper and natural motion inspired visible air bottom. Here a monochromatic Dark Grey upper is accented by a vibrant Orange lining to match the touches on the outsole. ‘NYC’ is even stitched onto the NIKEiD heel for added depth. Check out more photos below and head to NIKEiD today to customize your very own Air Max Zero Pigeon pair.
