With everyone focusing on the Space Jam 11s, the Red Velvet Jordan 11, and the upcoming Air Jordan 11 Suede, it was easy to forget that Jordan Brand is releasing another iconic silhouette this weekend in winterized form: the Air Jordan 3. Jordan Brand has been tinkering with different textiles and materials on some of their most famous retro silhouettes throughout 2016. We saw the Air Jordan 12 get a Wool overhaul this past fall, and now the Air Jordan 3 “Wool” is headed to retailers on December 17th for $200 USD.
The Air Jordan 3 Wool ditches all traces of that iconic elephant print as the upper is transformed thanks to a durable lifestyle wool construction in Dark Grey. The midsole and outsole unit get an off-white Sail treatment in an effort to make this pair more casual in aesthetic. It’s a little hard to see the Jumpman branding on the tongue and heel thanks to matching Dark Grey stitching, but the iconic logo is still there. What do you think of the Jordan 3 Wool?
