Air Max 97 Rt Tisci Low Custom 1

One of the key sneaker releases during Nike’s big Air Max Day weekend was Riccardo Tisci’s interpretation of the Air Max 97. As one of the three VisionAirs, Tisci took the beloved Air Max 97, a massive hit in Italy, and added an ankle collar for an elegant, chukka boot aesthetic. Of course there were the purists who would’ve preferred the design in its classic form, so Julian Gaines grabbed the right tools and sliced off Tisci’s add-on to give the shoe its original form, save the elongated tongue. Your thoughts on this quick customization?
