Japanese fashion staple NEIGHBORHOOD has had a busy year collaborating with the likes of Converse, BAPE, and adidas all in the span of the past few months. Now they’re back with a BMX-inspired collaboration with Vans Vault slated to hit select boutiques this weekend featuring an homage to 1980s culture with all-over graphics and the iconic checkerboard pattern. The NEIGHBORHOOD Vans Sk8-Hi references the Japanese BMX scene through alternating black and red thumbs-up logos while a hairy suede hits the heel to match the leather Vans stripe cutting through the center. Both a black and red pair will be available this Saturday. The Vans Authentic takes a simpler canvas approach with checkerboards on the toecap and midsole for a traditional look. Check out more detailed shots of the NEIGHBORHOOD Vans Sk8-Hi and Vans Authentic below and grab your pair from select spots on May 6th.
