Last August, adidas Originals dropped an incredibly limited run of what many consider to be one of the best adidas NMD colorways yet: the coveted NMD Red Apple. The pair first released at the new U.S. flagship at 115 Spring Street in SoHo and was a love letter from adidas to New York City with the help of Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era crew members featured in a limited edition zine showcasing Brooklyn. Now it looks like a sequel is on the way in the not so distant future.
Today we get a detailed look at the adidas NMD R1 Primeknit Red Apple 2.0, and not much has changed this go around. adidas swapped out the red three stripe side panel branding for a contrast black while red midsole bumpers are a noticeable upgrade from the simple white on white look from last year. That’s not the only head-turning colorway that will be available come late-summer either, as greyscale Primeknit and Trace Cargo options are sure to be popular installments of the NMD series.
