For some reason becoming a phenomenon for kids that don’t even skate let alone ever buy a copy of the magazine, Thrasher’s classic flames logo can be found ablaze on hoodies and t-shirts everywhere these days. Now the fiery design will have even more opportunity to pop up in your line of sight, as Vans and skateboarding’s bible team up for a footwear and apparel collection this fall that prominently features the logo.
The all-new capsule collection from Thrasher and Vans features two versions each of the Sk8-Hi Pro and Slip-On Pro, along with the new UltraRange Pro. The flames logo is found covering one colorway each of the Sk8-Hi’s and Slip-Ons, as well as almost all of the apparel that includes long sleeve t-shirts, hoodies, caps, and a military jacket. One shirt graphic even references legendary skateboarder and longtime Vans team rider John Cardiel’s 1992 Thrasher Skater of the Year cover with him jumping through a flaming ring while wearing an OG flames logo t-shirt.
The Thrasher x Vans capsule will release July 29th at select Vans Pro Skate retailers and Vans.com. In other recent Vans news, check out the all-camo-everything edition of the Authentic.
