It was another crazy week in the sneaker world with more news than you can keep track of. Luckily, we’re here to give you a full rundown on the week’s top stories from August 5th through August 11th with our top headlines. Kyrie Irving surprised everyone earlier today with a Kobe-inspired Nike Kyrie 3 “Bruce Lee” (fingers crossed that we get a retail release). Jordan Brand gave us plenty of retro updates including info that the Air Jordan 18 will make a retro appearance next year. There was plenty of Yeezy news too, as a “Red Night” sample appeared along with a coming women’s exclusive colorway. Now Nike Basketball is celebrating their unique relationship with what could be the best Kyrie ever created: an insane Kobe x Nike Kyrie 3 “Bruce Lee” featuring an inspiration from the Kobe 5 “Bruce Lee”.
Los Angeles based boutique continues their close partnership with Nike by collaborating with the must-have retro of the moment: the Air Max 97. The unique colorway features patent leather and UNDFTD’s stamp of approval throughout.
The adidas Ultra Boost 4.0 is rumored to release this December 2017. This week brought the best look yet at the model with three new colorways showing off new Primeknit and updated three stripe overlay cages. Which look is your favorite?
Jordan Brand is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3 by releasing the Air Jordan 3 Black/Cement in February 2018 along with two brand new versions of the model. The Jordan 3 Black/Cement is rumored to have classic ‘Nike Air’ branding and will retail for $200 USD.
Is the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Red Night” better than the Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Red October”? Only time will tell how sneakerheads look at both models, but this upcoming Yeezy colorway could be the best Yeezy Boost look yet.
Nike Sportswear made a special edition of the Nike SF-AF1 Mid for a New York City bike collective known as the 12 O’CLOCK BOYZ. The two pairs feature bold graphics, branding, and callouts to the crew in Black/Red and Black/Royal.
Jordan Brand is all about anniversaries based on Michael Jordan’s historic accomplishments to remind the youth that he’s truly the GOAT in the basketball world. Next year will be the 20th anniversary of his ‘Last Shot’ against the Utah Jazz in the NBA Finals to win his 6th and final NBA Championship. The brand will celebrate by bringing back his classic Air Jordan 14 colorway.
Nike Basketball is finally coming around on the LeBron retro wave, as his Nike Air Zoom Generation model will return in the true ‘First Game’ colorway that he debuted during his first professional appearance against the Sacramento Kings in 2003.
PUMA continues to bring the lifestyle heat with a collaboration with one of the world’s biggest recording artists. The Weeknd’s debut signature shoe was unveiled this week.
Of course Drake has more access to Jordan samples than the average sneakerhead given his close ties with the brand. Drizzy took to Instagram to showcase a truly strange Air Jordan 11 Snakeskin sample featuring pink python mudguards and 45 PE branding.
Is there a women’s exclusive adidas Yeezy colorway on the horizon? It looks like it! First images of a lady-centric Yeezy Boost 350 V2 hit the internet late this week featuring updated Clear Brown Primeknit patterns with a unique color combination for Winter 2017/Spring 2018. Jordan Brand is bringing back the Air Jordan 18 retro in the original Royal colorway this coming January featuring a remastered upper. That’s not the only colorway that will be releasing, either.
